Netflix lets you watch movie on iPad. Abc Player lets you watch full episodes of latest TV shows absolutely FREE.
Many other websites like iphonemoviez.net,NBC.com,TV.com,CNN,ESPN,Discovery,CBS,CW have videos ready for iPad.
You can make unlimited calls to all over world for $25/month using app Vonage on iPad. There are other VoIP apps that lets you FREE or very cheap calls in US.
iPad has state of the art Office suite -iWork. It lets you create word doc, spreadsheet and powerpoint presentation with great ease.
iBooks will have plenty of books at reasonable price and many are FREE.
Well, the ipad certainly seems to have a lot of hype. Personally I was more attracted to the Zenithink zt-180 epad that runs Android os. This is because of the low pricing ($150-200), the multiple USB ports, and the open sourcing. I like the ipad, it certainly is a better quality machine, but I am typing on my epad right now and it is accomplishing all of my needs for less than half the pricing of the ipad. The ipad has many useful features, and thousand, if not millions of apps. If you think you are going to use most of those then go ahead. I’ve heard people complain about the epad because it uses touch resistive technology and you have to actually apply a bit of pressure. But it isn’t that big of a difference from the ipad. Look up some videos and go to the apple store to see the full specs on the ipad. But don’t forget to consider the alternatives as well, because it would be a shame to spend that kind of money if your reason for buying it wasnt any different from what the other cheaper machines could offer.
The ipad is an amazing device for viewing web pages, instant messaging with AOL, and reading email. I wouldn’t let this replace you’re desktop simply because the file system is locked down tighter than guantanamo bay. The only way to get files off of it is either sync through itunes or email it to yourself like a bloody cave man. Also no flash player which means you can’t view content on the web with flash. However the ipad is great for viewing movies, youtube, and music. It’s awesome with music. The ipad is basically for couch potato computing. I wouldn’t really get an andriod tablet simply because everything is just like andriod on the phone which means you won’t get the “full” web experience. Also don’t go with cheap versions of a tablet. They usually break and feel really cheap and are really slow. Another bad thing about the ipad is reading ebooks. I seriously wouldnt recommend it simply because after twenty mins of reading you get a bloody headache from the light. Also apps are REALLY expensive for the ipad and the ipod touch or iphone apps look completely stupid on it. There is an option for blowing them up 2x to make them bigger but they look pixlated. IWORKS is really good for the ipad but once again i would recommend using word on the pc. You would get things dont ALOT quicker. Things i would recommend getting is a case for it. WARNING DO NOT GET THE APPLE CASE FOR THE IPAD!!!!!! It’s complete shit and gets dirty instantly. I would also recommend getting a screen protector (don’t do the installation yourself let a professinal do it) It also doesn’t come with earbuds or headphones. Any kind of earbuds will work for them. That said the Ipad is pretty cool. It’s basically an expensive way to view the web and play games and email.
