Can some please tell me the plot aka spoil it for me please! All I have read is that in the beginning Teddy is telling his life story to Chuck and they arrive on the island and are introduced to all the different places in the island and that a patient simply vanishing… so please tell me all the rest.
Well, to keep it as brief as possible:
Teddy is actually Andrew Laeddis. Chuck is actually Dr. Sheehan. The whole book is one elaborate scheme or “treatment” for “Teddy.”
Teddy (Andrew) has been on the island as a patient for almost two years. Other than Sheehan and Cawley, the rest of the doctors want to perform a transorbital labotomy on Teddy but Cawley wants to try a comprehensive play first. He fails. Teddy is then given the irreparable surgery at the end of the book.
so was he actually the on that killed his own wife in the fire ? what operation was performed on him ? what did the operation do ? so was his partner an illusion?
