Mad Men is set in New York in the 1960′s, a time where New York’s diversity began to grow and when it began to become the world’s “big apple”. It is based around a young creative director for a lead advertising company “Sterling Cooper”, Don Draper played by John Hamm. Don really likes to live up to his name and acts as if he is the don of New York.
Since the show first debuted back in 2007 is has recieved an incredible amount of nominations and awards including; a BAFTA, 3 Golden Globes and 6 Emmys. It is the second cable drama show to recieve the Emmy for Oustanding Drama.

Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss), Originally Draper’s personal secretary who then rises on to become a leading copywriter and gets her own office. She falls pregnant to Pete Campbell although neither he or she knows that it was him until season 2′s finale.
